Seen here is a concept for the replacement of the US Navy's USNS Mercy and USNS Comfort hospital ships. The service is looking for faster, smaller vessels than its current two hospital ships to provide medical services and emergency medical care in locations (including in far-flung areas) that the Comfort and Mercy cannot reach because of their size, draft and speed. Both the USNS Mercy and the USNS Comfort are scheduled for retirement around 2036.

This design is a further refinement of the same concept I posted earlier and could be a great concept for the US Navy to replace the servuce’s current hospital ships Comfort and Mercy by 2036.
